Keep Your Focus
January 5, 2008 by col4man
This is something that has been brought to mind alot recently as I have stumbled and fell through these past couple of months in my Journey of faith. The times when I fall are the times when I allow myself to be distracted by worldly temptations, and loose my focus in life. During Jeses temptations, he resists the Devils ploys by responding with the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, and thats what i’ve got to get into the habit of doing, building Godly disciplines into my life and cutting out the sinful addictions that distract and hold me back on this journey. The words of this song have reminded me of the scandal of his Costly grace that saved a wretch like me, the least I can do in response being to live a life of worship.
A THOUSAND TIMES I’ve failed,
Still Your mercy remains.
And should I stumble again,
Still I’m caught in Your grace.
Everlasting,
Your light will shine when all else fails.
Never ending,
Your glory goes beyond all fame.
……………
In my heart, in my soul,
Lord, I give You control.
Consume me from the inside out, Lord.
Let justice and praise
Become my embrace,
To love You from the inside out.
Joel Houston, A thousand times (from the inside out)

Little Steps of Faith
To grow in Faith we need to walk
with our Lord and to look to Him when
we feel the urge to run out in our own
strength without waiting for His provision.
We need to exercise our Faith muscles
by bringing these impulses under submission
to His authority. We are children born again
unto God. We mature in Faith as we give
Him all our cares. Today, exercise those Faith
muscles - and be amazed as God lifts you up!
In His Love,
